Bay Area Community Services (BACS) is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that is made up of advocates, community members, and professionals. All Board Members and staff members are bound to a Code of Ethics and Corporate Responsibility Plan.
BACS’ Strategic Plan for 2021-2023, rooted in our mission and our vision, responds to the systemic oppression that prevents the people we serve from being healthy, safe, and housed. Our community is calling out for freedom – this strategic plan is our response.
To see the impact that BACS makes each year, read our 2019-2020 Annual Report here.
To report a potential breach, please contact the Corporate Compliance Officer here.
To report a complaint or grievance with our services, please fill out our Complaint & Grievance reporting form and email it to us.
In addition, we are a HIPAA-covered entity and our Notice of Privacy Practices is here.
For further information, please read our complete Corporate Profile.
Finally, Bay Area Community Services and its staff are fiduciaries of public funds. We are independently audited every year, and our recent audits can be found below:

“I spent 15 years looking, unsuccessfully, for work. Despite my mental health issues, I wanted to be productive, but I could never find or hold a job. Thanks to BACS, I have finally found a job I love ! I feel like my goals are finally a reality.”
