Board of Directors Elects New Leadership

June 28, 2018

BACS is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has elected a new slate of leadership. In May of 2018, the BACS Board of Directors voted to elect the following officers:

John Steinfirst, Chair

John Steinfirst is an expert in mental health, social services, and the non-profit landscape of the Bay Area. A former CEO of Fred Finch Youth Center and a regular adviser to BACS’ Board of Directors, John joined the BACS Board in 2016. He is excited to support the growth of BACS, and provide expertise on youth services and non-profit governance.

Quinn Lung, Vice Chair

Quinn Lung has been a long-time supporter of nonprofits as a volunteer, consultant, and now board member. In his professional career, he has advised organizations in a broad range of industries, including tech, insurance, healthcare, and the public/nonprofit sector. Quinn holds degrees in Chemistry and Public Administration as well as a variety of professional designations in statistical analysis, programming, and data management. Quinn looks forward to helping BACS do whatever it takes to uplift individuals and their families in the Bay Area and beyond.

Darryl Moore, Treasurer

Darryl Moore is a long-time Berkeley resident and public servant. Darryl holds a Sociology degree from UC Santa Cruz, as well as a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Darryl is excited to serve the BACS Board of Directors as Treasurer, and to use his expertise in budgetary analysis and Bay Area housing policy to benefit the agency and the community.

Judith Bloom, Secretary

Judith Bloom is a Certified Public Accountant, with degrees from Cal State University East Bay and Golden Gate University, and long-time advocate of BACS. Judith first joined the BACS Board in 1989, and re-joined in 2017. She has also served the community at the Berkeley Holiday Fund and the Berkeley Symphony Advisory Committee. Judith brings expertise in financial oversight and local issues.
