Jamie Almanza

Executive Director

Jamie directed the administration of a large mental health and social services agency with services spanning through California.  She brings extensive knowledge of mental health services, regulatory activities, and strategic leadership. She is also the current Treasurer of La Familia Counseling Services, Inc., a grassroots mental health agency in Alameda County. Jamie holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in non-profit management from Mills College where she was the recipient of a prestigious scholarship and mentorship from Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women initiative, strengthening women leadership globally. Jamie possesses a contagious enthusiasm for public policy development, business strategy design and execution, and an overall commitment to excellence in the highest quality services for our marginalized community members in need of help.


Randy Street

Director of Development and Communications

Randy comes to BACS having served as Development Director for Salem Lutheran Home, affiliated with the Elder Care Alliance, and for the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences, affiliated with the Graduate Theological Union at UC Berkeley. He has a lifelong history of fundraising as a volunteer, and was previously a board member at Grace Cathedral and the Ohlhoff Recovery Program in San Francisco. Prior to his nonprofit leadership positions, Randy held executive communications positions at Siemens and other technology firms.


John Kaso

Chief Financial Officer

John comes to us from the Ernest Gallo Clinic and Research Center in Emeryville, where he was the CFO, via a short stint at Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) where he oversaw the Medicaid budget for the State of Hawaii. John has also worked at UC Berkeley and served over 20 years in the US Navy. He is deeply committed to public service and particularly in the area of public health.

John has an M.B.A. from Drexel University in Financial Management.


Norman Lemoine
   

Director of Human Resources

Norman, a certified Senior Human Resources Professional (SHRP), has twenty years of experience in human resources management. At BACS, Norman administers the Agency's personnel policies, coordinates staff recruitment and hiring, oversees the agency's unemployment and workers compensation programs, and assures compliance with State and Federal labor laws and regulations.
