Meals on Wheels, continued

Eligibility

Home delivered meals are available to those aged 60 or older, living alone or with an elderly spouse, who are homebound and unable to cook or shop for themselves. Disabled people who live with a qualified senior may also qualify.

A donation of $2.25-$2.75 (depending on income) is requested.

These meals are delivered by caring drivers who are often the only social contact the senior has each day.

In addition to the weekday hot meal, over 250 frozen meals are delivered for weekend consumption by seniors most in need, and special arrangements are made for delivery of either hot or frozen meals for holidays.

Over 1,000 seniors are served through the Meals on Wheels Program each year.
