September 2008Thursday, September 11, Week of Caring It is that time of year again when Bay Area companies provide volunteers to help with projects in our Non-Profit Community. As in the past, a group of Chevron employees will be helping with preparation and hold a Carnival at the BACS Adult Day Center. Games and Activities preparation and lots of bright Carnival backdrops will be prepared in the days leading up to the Carnival and volunteers will be at the event moving from booth to booth with the attendees. Photo opportunities abound and the volunteers want to keep coming back for more! Saturday, September 13, BACS Employee Recognition Picnic and BBQ All BACS employees and families are invited to the 2008 BACS Employee Recognition Picnic at Ardenwood Farm in Fremont. The event begins at 10:30am with an All You Can Eat Barbeque Buffet beginning at 12:30 pm. Daily ongoing activities include Volleyball, Ping Pong, Softball, Face Painting for the kids, a Bounce House and all of the tours of the animal farmyard, mansion, and antique farm displays. Beverages are included. Please check with your supervisor for details and to RSVP so we can be sure there is plenty of everything for adults and kids alike! Event begins 10:30am, BBQ begins 12:30pm, Ardenwod Farm in Fremont.
October 2008Thursday, October 2, Seeds to Harvest Campaign Completion Save the DATE! Mark your calendars for October 2, 2008 when we celebrate the completion of the Seeds to Harvest Campaign which had its public kick-off at the Sail Boat House on Lake Merritt , June 18, 2008. Details to follow so watch for updates on the web and in the mail. Contributions have past the $50,000 mark so tell a friend to join in funding the BACS Social Enterprise Kitchen.
