Towne House CLC, continued

Our Program

Towne House CLC offers a wide range of programs.

Creative Services/Clerical Group helps with essential clerical and computer duties, including attendance, biostatistics, bookkeeping, fundraising, newsletter, and phone receptionist.  This group plans special events, ethnic celebrations, and incorporates creative art to make birthday, thank you and greeting cards.

Food Service Group prepares a morning snack and lunch daily, as well as food for special events, holidays, and ethnic celebrations.  Members participate in nutritional menu planning, shopping, food preparation, and kitchen safety and sanitation procedures for working in our commercial kitchen.

House and Grounds Group members perform the daily housekeeping tasks to keep our four story, historical building clean and safe, as well as to maintain the outside vegetable and flower gardens and lawn.  House and Ground members do minor household repairs and set-up for special events.

In addition to structured work activities, there are groups to help individuals work on individual goals including, Health Maintenance, Hope and Recovery, Creative Arts, WRAP, Dual Diagnosis, Employment, and Social/Education. There is an emphasis on celebrating the ethnic diversity of members and staff through education and cultural special events.  Adult Education Teachers from Pleasant Valley Adult School provide instruction to help members develop work and social skills.

BACS Employment Program works closely with members to provide employment opportunities, including registering with the Department of Rehabilitation for support with job training and employment.
