Four Bridges CLC, continued

Our Program

Our program is member-driven. Members determine the daily structure and treatment is based on the goals each member chooses to pursue.  Attendance is completely voluntarily and individuals choose the quantity and quality of their participation. This promotes empowerment and the expectation of free choice.

Each month our Member Council, a group of self-selected members, participates in the planning and governing of the CLC.  The participants organize community meetings and lead the process of planning meals, choosing groups, and selecting outings for the following month.

Staff members (including mental health professionals and consumer staff) facilitate a variety of groups chosen by the members.  Members are encouraged to facilitate or co-facilitate groups as well.

While there is a wide variation in the groups chosen by members, there is consistently a daily check-in group, our weekly Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Group. Each member is strongly encouraged to participate in WRAP Group as well as develop and continuously refine a Wellness Recovery Action Plan.

We also offer a weekly job readiness group, facilitated by a consumer intern, a monthly dual-diagnosis group, and a monthly support group addressing a hope and recovery topic.

For members who are interested in seeking employment, we offer groups on improving job skills and provide individual support for job searches, in collaboration with the Department of Rehabilitation.

Additionally, each member contributes to the care and management of the house by performing voluntary tasks of their choice from among the list of needed activities. Members may choose tasks that provide training and the experience needed to transition into competitive employment.  Performing meaningful work enables members to see how they contribute to their community, and experience value in their role at the CLC.

Four Bridges offers its members a place to find hope, empowerment, and a rich community to which they can belong.
